Roger Vaughan
While Roger Vaughan can point to many symbols of achievement, he is most honored to have been designated as Lead Counsel by the U.S. District Courts in the Summit Venture/Skyway Bridge disaster and the Yarmouth Castle disaster.

Born in Washington, D.C., he served as a licensed merchant marine deck officer before earning his law degree. He began practicing with one of Tampa's most respected law firms in 1963, later joining an internationally renowned personal injury firm in Miami. In 1967, he was a founding member of the firm now called Wagner, Vaughan & McLaughlin.

Roger's early merchant marine experience has figured prominently in his legal career. An acknowledged specialist in maritime/admiralty law, he has chaired the Admiralty Sections of both The Florida Bar and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute. He has also served on the Superintendent's Council of his Alma Mater, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point.
