She joined her father, Roger Vaughan, at Wagner, Vaughan & McLaughlin in 1992, to begin representing only the injured in personal injury and wrongful death claims. Because of her experience, Denise is frequently asked to speak on personal injury claims at legal seminars.
In addition to handling personal injury and wrongful death claims on a contingency fee basis, she also handles, for free, cases for injured people whose income qualifies them for Bay Area Legal Services. Denise also volunteers as a guardian ad litem attorney on behalf of abused and neglected children.
Denise considers her greatest accomplishments to be her two children: son Matthew born in 1992 and daughter Caroline born in 1994. Her time outside of the office is spent enjoying her children with her husband, Matt Alexander.
